Mussel Dip Recipe

Prepare a bowl of this delicious dip and pack it in the cooler box along with some ready-made extras from SPAR for a perfect and hassle free picnic.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 85g can SPAR smoked mussels or oysters
  • ½ fresh lemon, squeezed
  • 125ml sour cream
  • 15ml sundried tomato and red pepper pesto
  • 1ml salt or less to taste
  • optional: Tabasco sauce


Recipe Method

  1. Using a hand-held stick blender, puree the mussels, lemon juice and pesto together.
  2. Using a spoon, gently combine this paste and the sour cream.
  3. Check for seasoning and spoon into a suitable airtight plastic container.
