How it all started
Our journey in South Africa began in 1963, when a group of 8 wholesalers created a network of independent retailers who would supply fresh produce, great value, and quality products to South African households everywhere.
Today, the SPAR Group supports more than 2 500 independently owned stores through a network of distribution centres. While we’ve grown, our focus on people, partnerships, and community hasn't changed.
