Choc-Crunch Squares Recipe

By adding a few “good things”, a slab of chocolate will go further, and at the same time, give added crunch and fibre.

Recipe Ingredients

90 g slab milk chocolate
250 ml rice krispie breakfast cereal
50 ml sunflower seeds
50 ml SPAR Fibre Bran breakfast cereal

Recipe Method

Break the chocolate squares into a bowl and melt for 2 – 2 ½ minutes on 60% Power in a microwave oven. Stir to bring it to a smooth liquid.
Mix in the cereals and seeds so they are all well coated with chocolate.
Press the mixture into a lunchbox coated with non-stick baking spray, and press down firmly all over, using the back of a spoon. Chill until firm.  Cut into squares.

Hints & Tips

If you prefer chocolate drops, spoon heaped teaspoonful’s of the mixture onto a greased tray before refrigerating.
