Grape Kebabs with a Thyme marinade Recipe

A lovely accompaniment to cold meats and cheeses. The thyme, olive oil and vinegar marinade really enhances the flavours of the fruit.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 250g SPAR Freshline seedless green grapes, pulled off their vine
  • 250g SPAR Freshline seedless red grapes, pulled off their vine
  • 3 tablespoons SPAR extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoons SPAR balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon SPAR white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon SPAR Freshline thyme, finely chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • SPAR Good Living Bamboo skewers

Recipe Method

  1. Put the grapes in a medium bowl with the oil, vinegar, sugar and thyme. Mix well and marinade for 15 minutes.
  2. Thread 5 - 6 grapes onto each skewer stick and reserve the marinade.
  3. Place a grill pan over high heat until hot.
  4. Add the grape kebabs in batches and cook for 2 minutes turning continuously.
  5. Set aside to cool.
  6. On a big serving platter place mozzarella balls, fresh rocket, cold meats or even a selection of cheeses. Make it your personal choices.
  7. Add the grape kebabs and pour the remaining marinade over them.
