Asian Coleslaw Recipe

For a change from traditional coleslaw, try this variety flavoured with soy sauce, coriander and sesame seeds.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 baby SPAR Freshline green cabbages, finely sliced
  • 2 baby SPAR Freshline purple cabbages, finely sliced
  • 3 SPAR Freshline carrots, julienne
  • 1/2 cup SPAR Freshline coriander, chopped
  • 3 green SPAR Freshline spring onion, chopped
  • 1 green SPAR Freshline apple, julienne
  • 1 red SPAR Freshline apple, julienne
  • 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 TBSP SPAR sugar
  • 1 TBSP lemon juice
  • 2 TBSP sesame seeds, toasted 
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Recipe Method

  1. To make the dressing: In a large bowl combine vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, lemon juice and sesame seeds.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste
  3. Place the cabbage, carrots, coriander, spring onion and apples into a large bowl.
  4. Pour over the dressing and toss well.
  5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
