T-Bone Steak with Homemade Shaved Potato Chips Recipe
Enjoy a restaurant quality steak with crisp potato shavings. Serve with your choice of side vegetable.
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 x SPAR Steak Co. T-Bone steaks
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Small handful finely chopped SPAR Freshline rosemary and thyme leaves
- SPAR olive oil, to taste
- 4 SPAR Freshline potatoes, peeled into shavings using a vegetable peeler
- SPAR Vegetable Oil, to deep fry
Recipe Method
- Heat a pan over very high heat until smoking hot. Fry your steak in the pan, turning only once, about 2 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from pan and rest for 10 minutes while your chips fry before serving.
- Heat your oil for deep frying to 180°C. Fry your shaved chips until golden brown, about 3 minutes, before removing from the oil and place on paper towel to remove excess oil. Season with salt while hot.
- Serve your steak sliced with the shaved chips alongside.
