Dessert In A Flash Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

  • 4 heaped teaspoons SPAR Medium or Full Roast Filter coffee
  • 1,5 Litres SPAR Vanilla ice cream
  • Tumbles chocolate balls

Recipe Method

  1. Make up a fresh batch of strong filter coffee using 500 ml boiling water.
  2. Scoop ice cream balls into tall heatproof glasses.
  3. Pour over the hot coffee to approximately 1/4 of the glass.
  4. Sprinkle the sweets on top, and serve immediately with long handled spoons.

Hints & Tips

  • Add Irish whisky or Kahlua liqueur into the brewed coffee before pouring over the ice cream.
  • Use a mixture of equal amounts of crushed peanut brittle and "Crunchie" chocolate, instead of Whispers.
  • Vary the concept for young children, by pouring over hot Horlicks instead of coffee, and sprinkle
  • Smarties or Astros over.
