Skewered Chicken Wings and Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 packets of SPAR Tender & Tasty BBQ Skewered Sundowner Wings

Dipping Sauce

  • 50g Signature Selection brie cheese
  • 85g SPAR blue cheese
  • ½ cup (125ml) SPAR buttermilk
  • ½ cup (125ml) SPAR sour cream
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ¼ tsp (1.25ml) paprika

Recipe Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200ºC.
  2. Heat the oil over a medium heat in a large pan.
  3. Season the lamb and sear until well browned.
  4. Add the onion, garlic and herbs into a large casserole dish with a tight-fitting lid.
  5. Place the seared lamb on top and pour over the stock.
  6. Cut a piece of baking paper slightly bigger than the circumference of the pot and cover the lamb, pressing down to seal the liquid in, and cover with the lid.
  7. Place the casserole dish in the oven and reduce the heat to 150ºC.
  8. Slow roast for 4 hours or until the meat is falling off the bone.
  9. Season with lemon juice and serve with pan juices and whipped feta.
