Tuna Panini Recipe

A delicious, restaurant style sandwich to make at home.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 x 170 g SPAR solid tuna in water
  • ¼ SPAR Freshline onion, finely chopped
  • 45 ml SPAR mayonnaise
  • 1 stick SPAR Freshline celery, chopped
  • 2 SPAR Freshline whole-wheat sandwich rolls
  • SPAR grated mozzarella cheese

Recipe Method

  1. Open the can of tuna and carefully drain off all the water.
  2. Flake the tuna using a fork and then add the onion, mayonnaise and celery.  Mix well to combine
  3. Cut open each Panini and spread generously with the tuna mixture.  Top with grated mozzarella cheese.
  4. Toast in a sandwich press or in a frying pan until brown on each side and the cheese has melted.

Hints & Tips

You can use SPAR fat free chunky cottage cheese instead of mozzarella as a low fat alternative.
