Sweet Corn bread Recipe
A South African classic recipe that can be served as a side dish or enjoyed by itself, spread with butter.
Recipe Ingredients
- 80g sugar
- 80g butter
- 2 eggs
- 2ml salt
- 2 cans SPAR Creamed Sweetcorn
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup cream
Recipe Method
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Grease a medium size oven to table dish or a baking dish.
- Cream the butter and the sugar, add the eggs one by one and beat through after each addition.
- Stir through the salt, sweetcorn and cornmeal.
- Spoon into the prepared dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Pour the cream over and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
