Spiced Nuts In A Glass Recipe

Packed with an imported beer from TOPS at SPAR, these special premium quality nuts make the perfect home-made gift for a man this festive season.

Yield: 200 g (enough to fill a beer glass)

Recipe Ingredients

  • 100 g  mixed cocktail nuts
  • 100 g  Smoked Almonds
  • 20 g SPAR butter or margarine
  • 2 ml salt
  • 15 ml Worcester sauce
  • few drops Tabasco sauce or 1 ml cayenne pepper
  • generous grinding black pepper


Recipe Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC.
  2. Place butter on baking pan and place in the oven to melt.
  3. Stir in the seasoning ingredients and lastly the nuts, mixing to coat them well. Spread the nuts out in the pan, and return to the oven for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally during this time.
  4. Set aside to cool completely. Sprinkle lightly with more salt before packing.

Hints & Tips

Be strict with the oven time as the nuts are bought pre-roasted, and by extending the roasting time significantly the flavour will be spoilt.
