Coleslaw Hot Dog Recipe

This Asian flavoured coleslaw will give your hot dogs a spicy boost.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cup SPAR Freshline green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 cup SPAR Freshline red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 SPAR Freshline carrots, peeled & grated
  • 1 cm SPAR Freshline ginger root, peeled & grated
  • 1/8 cup sesame oil
  • 4 TBSP SPAR mayonnaise
  • 2 TBSP rice wine vinegar
  • 1 TBSP Sriracha sauce
  • 8 SPAR Tender & Tasty Braai buster hot dogs, cooked
  • 8 SPAR Bakery hot dog rolls
  • sesame seeds, roasted

Recipe Method

  1. Place the cabbage, carrots and ginger into a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Stir in sesame oil, mayonnaise, rice wine and Sriracha sauce and mix well. Set aside.
  3. Preheat grill pan over a high heat and spray with non-stick spray.
  4. Add sausages to the heated grill pan and cook 4-5 minutes, cooking evenly.
  5. Place the sausages in the buns and top with the cabbage mixture.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds.
