Pickled Grapes Recipe
Try these delicious, sweet and sour pickles in a sandwich in place of a gherkin or serve with a cheese platter, or just eat them whenever you feel like it!
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 cup water, boiling
- ½ cup SPAR white sugar
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1cm SPAR Freshline ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon whole mustard seeds
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 cups SPAR Freshline grapes, mixture
Recipe Method
- Place the water in a bowl.
- Stir in the sugar until dissolved
- Pour in the vinegar, ginger, coriander seeds, peppercorns, mustard seeds, cinnamon sticks and bay leaf. Stir well and set aside.
- Remove the grapes from the stem and wash well.
- Add the grapes into the prepared pickling liquid and make sure the grapes are submerged.
- Set aside to cool.
- Pickle for at least 1 hour before serving.
