Hot Cross Bun Bread and Butter Pudding Recipe
A luxurious bread and butter pudding using chocolate hot cross buns, fresh cream and vanilla.
Recipe Ingredients
- 12 SPAR Bakery chocolate hot cross buns, sliced in half and each half generously spread with soft butter
- 4 SPAR eggs
- 1 ½ cup SPAR milk
- 250ml fresh cream
- 50g SPAR sugar
- 15ml vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt
To Serve
- SPAR vanilla ice cream, to serve
- SPAR Freshline raspberries
Recipe Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place your buttered hot cross buns in a baking dish.
- Place the eggs, milk, fresh cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt in a jug and whisk to combine. Pour this mixture around the hot cross buns in the baking dish.
- Place the dish into the preheated oven and bake for 30 – 40 minutes or until set.
- Serve warm, with scoops of vanilla ice cream and raspberries to garnish.
