Creamy Mushroom Rolls Recipe

Serve either as a vegetarian alternative to wors rolls or as a tasty sauce to go on top!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon SPAR butter
  • 1 teaspoon SPAR Freshline thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 clove SPAR Freshline garlic, minced
  • 250g SPAR Freshline mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup cream
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoon Marksbury Select Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon SPAR Freshline parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 SPAR Freshline hotdog rolls

Recipe Method

  1. In a frying pan, over a medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the mushroom, thyme and garlic and cook for 4 minutes.
  3. Pour in the cream and add the pepper and salt.
  4. Simmer for 4 minutes until the sauce has reduced and thickened.
  5. Stir in the parmesan and parsley.
  6. Cut the hotdog rolls open and top with the mushroom mixture.
  7. Enjoy while warm.
