
Scones For A Crowd
As a parent involved on a school committee, or a member of a social group, you may need to bake a large batch of scones for a fundraiser event. Here's the prefect quick and economical recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 kg SPAR cake flour2
- Baking powder150 ml
- Salt10 ml
- SPAR canola or sunflower oil500 ml
- Large eggs8
- Maas1.25 litres

Step 1
Preheat oven to 220 º C. Lightly spray 3 SPAR Good Living baking pans with cooking spray.

Step 2
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a large SPAR Good Living 3 litre porcelain mixing bowl.

In a separate SPAR Good Living 3 litre porcelain mixing bowl, combine the oil, eggs and maas. Pour into the dry ingredients and gently mix in a cutting action, until a soft textured dough forms.

Working with quarter of the dough at a time, gently work and shape it on a floured work surface, to 2-3cm thick. *The thicker the better. Never use a rolling pin.

Using the medium size SPAR Good Living cookie cutter, cut out rounds and transfer directly onto the prepared baking pans.

Step 6
Bake for 15 minutes, while you cut out and prepare the next batch of scones for baking.
