Pickled Grapes Recipe

Try these delicious, sweet and sour pickles in a sandwich in place of a gherkin or serve with a cheese platter, or just eat them whenever you feel like it!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 cup water, boiling
  • ½ cup SPAR white sugar 
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1cm SPAR Freshline ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon whole mustard seeds
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cups SPAR Freshline grapes, mixture

Recipe Method

  1. Place the water in a bowl.
  2. Stir in the sugar until dissolved
  3. Pour in the vinegar, ginger, coriander seeds, peppercorns, mustard seeds, cinnamon sticks and bay leaf.  Stir well and set aside.
  4. Remove the grapes from the stem and wash well.
  5. Add the grapes into the prepared pickling liquid and make sure the grapes are submerged.
  6. Set aside to cool.
  7. Pickle for at least 1 hour before serving.
