Honey Garlic Steak Bites on Noodles Recipe

Tender cubes of rump steak in an oriental inspired garlic and honey sauce.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 400g egg noodles
  • 5 cups boiling chicken stock
  • 300 g SPAR Rump Steak, cut into cubes
  • 1 Tbsp cornflour
  • 2 Tbsp sunflower oil
  • 4 x cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1/4 cup soya sauce
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup beef stock
  • 1 x bunch of spring onions, chopped
  • 200 g sugar snap peas, sliced in half
  • 2-3 Tbsp sesame seeds (to serve)
  • fresh coriander and sliced red chilli (to serve)

Recipe Method

  1. Soak the noodles in the boiling-hot chicken stock for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a pan until smoking.
  3. Toss the steak cubes in the cornflour and add to the pan. Brown all over. Set aside.
  4. Add the onion to the pan and cook until golden (approx 10 minutes).
  5. Add a splash of oil if needed. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add the soya sauce and honey and cook for 5 minutes, until it thickens slightly. Add the steak and coat in the sauce.
  7. Add the spring onion and sugar snap peas. Cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Stir the noodles through and add the stock.
  9. Serve with sesame seeds and fresh coriander/chilli (optional).
