Honey Garlic Steak Bites on Noodles Recipe
Tender cubes of rump steak in an oriental inspired garlic and honey sauce.
Recipe Ingredients
- 400g egg noodles
- 5 cups boiling chicken stock
- 300 g SPAR Rump Steak, cut into cubes
- 1 Tbsp cornflour
- 2 Tbsp sunflower oil
- 4 x cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1/4 cup soya sauce
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup beef stock
- 1 x bunch of spring onions, chopped
- 200 g sugar snap peas, sliced in half
- 2-3 Tbsp sesame seeds (to serve)
- fresh coriander and sliced red chilli (to serve)
Recipe Method
- Soak the noodles in the boiling-hot chicken stock for 15 minutes.
- Heat a pan until smoking.
- Toss the steak cubes in the cornflour and add to the pan. Brown all over. Set aside.
- Add the onion to the pan and cook until golden (approx 10 minutes).
- Add a splash of oil if needed. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the soya sauce and honey and cook for 5 minutes, until it thickens slightly. Add the steak and coat in the sauce.
- Add the spring onion and sugar snap peas. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir the noodles through and add the stock.
- Serve with sesame seeds and fresh coriander/chilli (optional).
