The secret to picking peppers


Just by looking, learn which peppers to use raw and which are better to cook with.
 
It’s all about the bumps on the bottom of the pepper. Three bumps and the pepper is usually softer, sweeter and good to use raw in salads etc. Peppers with four bumps on the bottom are firmer and not as pleasant to eat raw – better suited to cooking.
