Roti Wraps

Roti Wraps
This is a tasty and different way to enjoy mince during the week. You can buy roti’s, wraps or make your own.
Roti Wraps

  • Serves: 4 – 6 

Ingredients

  • 15 ml SPAR Choice Butter
  • 1 SPAR Freshline Onion, Chopped
  • 30 ml Minced Garlic and Ginger
  • 20 ml Mild Curry Powder
  • 500g SPAR Lean Beef Mince
  • 60 ml SPAR Peach Chutney
  • 10 ml SPAR Vinegar
  • 50 g SPAR Tomato Paste
  • 60 ml Water
  • 1 SPAR Freshline Potato, peeled and cubed
  • 4 – 6 SPAR Freshline Brown Wraps
  • Dhania/Coriander to garnish

Method

  1. Heat the butter to fry the onion, garlic and ginger and curry powder until the onion is soft.
  2. Add mince and cook until brown, breaking down any lumps.
  3. Add chutney, vinegar, tomato paste and water.
  4. Add cubed potato. Simmer covered for 20 – 30 minutes until potato is cooked.  Add extra water if needed.
  5. Heat the wraps in the microwave between two dinner plates for 30 seconds or in a frying pan over medium heat. Use an egg lifter or oven gloves to handle them.
  6. Serve the mince in the wraps with fresh dhania/coriander
  • Serve your Roti with sambals of chopped tomato, cucumber and dhania/coriander.  This adds crunch and is good for you.
