Bacon and Broccoli Pasta Pots
A delicious, simple supper that’s easy to make.
Bacon and Broccoli Pasta Pots

  • Serves: 6 – 8

Ingredients

  • 250g SPAR pasta screws
  • 3ml SPAR salt
  • 200g SPAR bacon, chopped 
  • 50g SPAR butter
  • 40g SPAR flour
  • 500ml SPAR low fat milk
  • 125g SPAR grated cheese
  • 250ml SPAR Freshline broccoli, cut into florets 
  • 4 SPAR Freshline cherry tomatoes

Method

  1. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for 10 -12 minutes until al dente. Drain.
  2. Melt the butter in a small pot.  Add the bacon and fry until crispy. Add the flour and stir for a minute or two.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir the milk in.  Return to the heat and stir until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
  4. Place the broccoli florets into boiling water and cook for 6 – 10 minutes. Drain.
  5. Add the cooked pasta, grated cheese, broccoli and cherry tomatoes to the sauce.
  6. Place into 6 – 8 ramekin dishes. Top with extra cheese and serve.
