Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is SPAR KZN (“the Promoter”). The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook .

2. Competition Period

The competition commences on 4 September and ends at 12:00pm on 2 October 2026. No late entries will be accepted.

3. Eligibility

• The competition is open to South African residents aged 18 years and older.

• Participants must have a valid Facebook account.

• Employees of the Promoter, participating SPAR stores, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must:

4.1 Access the official electronic “Spin & Win” jackpot wheel via the competition post.

4.2 Spin the wheel online.

4.3 If the participant lands on three (3) SPAR Nutrifresh logos in a row, they must:

• Take a clear screenshot of the winning spin; and

• Post the screenshot in the comments section of the official competition post on Facebook.

Only screenshots posted within the competition period will be considered valid entries.

5. Winner Selection

• Two (2) winners will be selected per week during the competition period.

• Winners will be selected randomly from all valid qualifying entries received for that week.

• The Promoter’s decision is fnal and no correspondence will be entered into.

• The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner should the selected winner fail to confrm their nearest KZN SPAR store within 24 hours of being contacted.

6. Prize

Each winner will receive:

• One (1) Nutrifresh Knife hamper; valued at approximately R2700.

• The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

• The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a similar prize of equal value should circumstances require.

7. Winner Notifcation & Collection

• Winners will be announced via Facebook.

• Winners will be contacted via direct message by the customer management team.

• Winners must respond within 24 hours of notifcation. Failing this, an alternative winner may be selected.

• The prize must be collected from the winner’s nominated local KZN SPAR store.

• The Promoter will advise the customer when the prize is available for collection in-store.

• Winners may be required to provide proof of identity before the prize is released.

8. General Conditions

• Entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, duplicated where not permitted, or contain offensive or inappropriate material will be disqualifed.

• The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of manipulating the entry process or otherwise violating these Terms & Conditions.

• By entering, participants acknowledge that their name and/or image may be used for reasonable promotional purposes relating to the competition, subject to applicable law.

• Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Promoter shall not be responsible for:

• Any technical failures affecting participation;

• Lost, delayed, corrupted or unsuccessful entries;• Any injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the competition or acceptance or use of the prize, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Protection of Personal Information (POPIA)

The promotional competition is not open to any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, its marketing service providers, participating SPAR stores, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.

All personal information collected from participants will be processed by the Promoter in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”)and solely for purposes including administering the competition, verifying eligibility,selecting and contacting winners, and delivering prizes.

Personal information will be processed lawfully, fairly and transparently and will be limited to what is necessary to fulfl the stated purposes. Personal information will not be retained for longer than required to fulfl these purposes or as required by applicable law.

Reasonable technical and organisational measures will be implemented to safeguard personal information against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or misuse.

By participating in the competition, participants consent to the processing of their personal information as set out in these Terms & Conditions. Participants acknowledge that failure to provide the required information may result in disqualifcation from the competition.
