Aztec Hot Chocolate Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

  • 6 cups full cream milk
  • 280g dark chocolate, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 pinches cayenne pepper
  • Marshmallows (Optional)
  • Cinnamon sticks (Optional)

Recipe Method

  1. In a medium sized saucepan, combine your milk and chopped chocolate.
  2. Bring the mixture to temperature over a medium low heat while stirring constantly. This will ensure an even melt and prevent scorching of the chocolate.
  3. Once your milk is warm and the chocolate is melted, remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Stir in the ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper.
  5. Serve immediately, garnish optionally with marshmallows or cinnamon sticks!
