Garlic Beef and Broccoli Noodles Recipe

Tender beef fillet strips, broccoli and a sweet and spicy sauce tossed with noodles. YUM!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2-3 egg noodle nests
  • 350g bag SPAR Freshline broccoli florets
  • 2 Tbsp SPAR Sunflower oil
  • 400g SPAR Steak CO. fillet steak, cut into strips
  • 3 SPAR Freshline garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 punnet SPAR Freshline mushrooms, sliced

For the sauce

  • 5cm SPAR Freshline ginger, finely grated to a paste
  • 3 Tbsp SPAR brown sugar
  • 1⁄3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp cornflour

To serve

  • ½ punnet SPAR Freshline mange tout, shredded
  • SPAR Freshline Red chilli, to taste

Recipe Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook noodles according to the package instructions. Drain, but reserve the water and set aside.
  2. Use the same water and boil the broccoli for 5 minutes until tender. Shock in ice water and set aside.
  3. In a medium pan or wok, add the oil and cook the steak until it is no longer pink on the outside, then add the garlic and mushrooms and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the sauce.
  5. Add the noodles to the pan with the steak, and add the sauce and broccoli.
  6. Stir through until fully incorporated.
  7. Serve with chilli and shredded mangetout and red chilli.
