Mabella in a Mug Recipe
Grab your favourite mug and serve this nourishing porridge!
Recipe Ingredients
- 250ml Maltabella porridge, quick-method style
- 1ml vanilla essence
- 45g cinnamon sugar
- 1 large banana, ripe, peeled, and sliced
- ¼ cup mixed dried fruits and nuts
- SPAR Crème Fraiche to taste
Recipe Method
- Following the pack’s instructions, cook a 4-portion batch of porridge, then add your vanilla essence and cinnamon sugar.
- Pour the porridge mixture to 1/3 level of each mug.
- Place your banana slices in each mug, pour another layer of porridge till 2/3 level.
- Sprinkle in your fruit and nut mix, then pour the last layer of porridge.
- Spoon a dollop of Crème Fraiche with another sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. Serve immediately.
Hints & Tips
Substitute with vanilla flavoured mielie meal porridge for an interesting twist.
Swop the banana for grated apple or canned pears for a sweet variation!
