Recipe Ingredients

  • 500 g Your Butcher by SPAR Boneless Pork Belly
  • 1 Tbsp SPAR Sea salt
  • 1 tsp SPAR Freshline sage
  • 1 tsp smoked chilli
  • 1 Tbsp fennel seeds
  • 3 SPAR Freshline apples, cored and quartered
  • 1 SPAR Freshline orange, quartered
  • 400 g SPAR Freshline Baby Potatoes in Herb Butter

Recipe Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Score the skin of the pork belly using a sharp knife.
  3. Combine the sea salt, sage, smoked chilli, and fennel seeds. Rub this mixture thoroughly into the scored skin of the pork belly.
  4. Place the pork belly on a baking tray, covered with foil, and roast for 15 minutes.
  5. Increase the oven temperature to 220°C.
  6. Remove the foil from the pork belly and continue roasting for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and crackling.
  7. When increasing the oven temperature, add the apples, orange quarters, and baby potatoes to the baking tray to roast alongside the pork.
  8. Serve the pork belly hot with the roasted fruits and vegetables.
