Crispy Pork Belly Roast Recipe
A crisp and crackling pork dish, with roasted fruits and vegetables cooked in the same dish for an easy but delicious meal.
Recipe Ingredients
- 500 g Your Butcher by SPAR Boneless Pork Belly
- 1 Tbsp SPAR Sea salt
- 1 tsp SPAR Freshline sage
- 1 tsp smoked chilli
- 1 Tbsp fennel seeds
- 3 SPAR Freshline apples, cored and quartered
- 1 SPAR Freshline orange, quartered
- 400 g SPAR Freshline Baby Potatoes in Herb Butter
Recipe Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Score the skin of the pork belly using a sharp knife.
- Combine the sea salt, sage, smoked chilli, and fennel seeds. Rub this mixture thoroughly into the scored skin of the pork belly.
- Place the pork belly on a baking tray, covered with foil, and roast for 15 minutes.
- Increase the oven temperature to 220°C.
- Remove the foil from the pork belly and continue roasting for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and crackling.
- When increasing the oven temperature, add the apples, orange quarters, and baby potatoes to the baking tray to roast alongside the pork.
- Serve the pork belly hot with the roasted fruits and vegetables.
