Cheesy Crumbed Chicken Strips Recipe
A classic! These tender, breaded SPAR Select chicken mini fillets with a crispy crumb are perfect served with barbeque and mustard dipping sauces.
Recipe Ingredients
- 3 SPAR Freshline seeded whole wheat rolls
- 100g SPAR cheddar cheese, grated
- 150ml SPAR Creamy Mayonnaise
- 30ml SPAR Mustard Sauce
- 15ml SPAR Barbecue Spice
- ~700g SPAR Select Mini Chicken Fillets
Recipe Method
- Preheat your oven to 190°C and grease a medium baking sheet.
- Using a food processor or stick blender, crumb the rolls till fine and mix in the cheese. Set aside.
- Combine your mayonnaise, mustard sauce, and barbecue spice in a shallow dish.
- Dip the chicken strips into your sauce, followed by the breadcrumbs and place them in rows on your baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes after resting for 5 minutes.
Hints & Tips
Keep your hands and workstation clean when crumbing the chicken by following these instructions: With your left-hand, dip and turn the chicken strips in your sauce until well-coated. With the same hand, lift them out and drop them directly into the breadcrumbs. Use your right hand to turn and cover the strips all over with breadcrumbs.
