Beef Lasagne Recipe
Layers of pasta, savoury beef, tomato sauce, and cheese baked to perfection, a hearty favourite.
Recipe Ingredients
- 300 g SPAR Lasagne sheets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 550 g SPAR Tender and Tasty Lean Beef Mince
- 150 g SPAR Streaky Bacon, chopped
- 150 g mushrooms, sliced
- 450 g can SPAR Diced Tomatoes with juice
- 150 ml red wine
- 1 SPAR Beef stock cube
- 5ml each of oregano, basil, salt & black pepper
For White Sauce:
- 120 g SPAR Choice Butter
- 100 g SPAR Cake Wheat flour
- 800 ml SPAR Full cream Milk
- 300 ml SPAR Fresh Cream
- Salt, white pepper & nutmeg to taste
- Mixed cheeses for topping (150 g Parmesan, 150 g Cheddar)
Recipe Method
- Sauté onions, garlic, add bacon, beef until browned.
- Add tomatoes, wine, stock, herbs; simmer for 1 hour.
- White Sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour, gradually add milk and cream. Cook until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Layer noodles, white sauce, meat sauce in a dish.
- Top with cheese mix.
- Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes. Rest before serving.
