Recipe Ingredients

  • 300 g SPAR Lasagne sheets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 550 g SPAR Tender and Tasty Lean Beef Mince
  • 150 g SPAR Streaky Bacon, chopped
  • 150 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 450 g can SPAR Diced Tomatoes with juice
  • 150 ml red wine
  • 1 SPAR Beef stock cube
  • 5ml each of oregano, basil, salt & black pepper
 

For White Sauce:

  • 120 g SPAR Choice Butter
  • 100 g SPAR Cake Wheat flour
  • 800 ml SPAR Full cream Milk
  • 300 ml SPAR Fresh Cream
  • Salt, white pepper & nutmeg to taste
  • Mixed cheeses for topping (150 g Parmesan, 150 g Cheddar)

Recipe Method

  1. Sauté onions, garlic, add bacon, beef until browned.
  2. Add tomatoes, wine, stock, herbs; simmer for 1 hour.
  3. White Sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour, gradually add milk and cream. Cook until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. Layer noodles, white sauce, meat sauce in a dish.
  5. Top with cheese mix.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes. Rest before serving.
