Artisanal Bubble Bread Recipe
Create your own artisanal bubble bread, perfect for outdoor dining. It's similar to a pizza, with toppings added after baking.
Recipe Ingredients
- 500g SPAR cake wheat flour
- 15ml rosemary
- 5ml SPAR sugar
- 5ml SPAR salt
- 10g dry yeast
- 250ml lukewarm water
- 125ml caramelised onion preserve
- SPAR Freshline salad leaves
- 200g SPAR Marksbury Brie Cheese, sliced
- 2 SPAR Freshline pears, sliced
- SPAR Extra Virgin olive oil, for drizzling
Recipe Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Mix the flour, rosemary, sugar, salt, and yeast together. Form a well in the centre and gradually add the lukewarm water, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into two portions and roll each out on a floured surface until thin and oval-shaped.
- Bake each oval in the oven for 5 to 8 minutes, or until they are crisp and bubbly.
- Once baked, spread caramelised onion preserve over the bread.
- Top with salad leaves, sliced Brie cheese, and pear slices.
- Drizzle with olive oil and a bit of lemon juice.
- Season with freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste.
