SPAR is proud to announce a partnership with LifeLine South Africa, who are responsible for maintaining and running SPAR’s END GBV Helpline support. LifeLine provides the critical skills and experience needed in dealing with people who are experiencing Gender Based Violence (GBV).
In an effort to bolster the capacity to address GBV, SPAR is working with LifeLine to upgrade and improve the call centre infrastructure. SPAR is also working on ensuring there are sufficient number of trained, professional counsellors to manage the volume of calls from people who need GBV counselling and guidance, both survivors and perpetrators. The partnership is backed by a Memorandum of Understanding, which will continue for a 5-year period, to be reviewed in 2025.
