Recipe Ingredients

Vanilla Yoghurt Bowl with Peaches and Grapes

  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) water
  • ½ Tbsp (7.5ml) gelatine
  • 1 cup (250ml) SPAR plain yoghurt
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla paste or essence
  • 1 cup (250ml) SPAR full cream milk or cream
  • ¼ cup (60ml) honey
  • Juice (60ml) and grated peel of 1 lemon
  • 2 SPAR freshline dessert peaches, pit removed and sliced
  • ¼ punnet SPAR freshline grapes


Mango & Banana Smoothie

  • 2 SPAR freshline bananas, peeled, cut into chunks and frozen
  • 1 SPAR freshline mango, peeled, cut into chunks and frozen
  • ½ cup (125ml) SPAR full cream milk
  • ½ cup (125ml) SPAR plain yoghurt
  • Juice and grated peel of 1 SPAR freshline lemon
  • Honey, to taste

Recipe Method

Vanilla Yoghurt Bowl with Peaches and Grapes

  1. Place water in a bowl and add the gelatine. Set aside until the gelatine has softened, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Whisk together yoghurt, vanilla and half of the milk or cream if using. Set aside.
  3. Bring the remaining milk and honey to a simmer over medium heat.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in softened gelatine, make sure it is all dissolved.
  5. Whisk gelatine mixture into yoghurt mixture then stir in lemon juice and zest.
  6. Divide between two round containers with lids and set in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  7. Top with sliced peaches ang grapes when ready to serve.


Mango & Banana Smoothie

  1. Combine frozen banana, mango chunks, milk, yoghurt and lemon together in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, add honey to taste and blend again.
  3. Pour out into glasses or on the go smoothie cups and enjoy.
