Recipe for
Cheese and Onion Loaf

Try this as an afternoon snack, slathered with cream cheese.
Ingredients
(Makes one loaf of 10-12 slices)
500 g SPAR Self Raising Flour
5 ml SPAR Salt
15 ml freshly chopped herbs (optional)
120 g SPAR Freshline Red Onions, diced
100 g SPAR Cheddar Cheese, grated
500 ml SPAR Full Cream Maas
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Sift the dry ingredients together. Add the frozen onion and grated cheese.
Make a well in the centre and add the maas, stirring until just combined.
Spoon into a greased 23 cm loaf pan.
Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes (test with skewer which should come out clean).
Serve hot, spread generously with SPAR Butter or SPAR Cream Cheese.

: For a bacon and cheese loaf, add 200 g SPAR Diced Bacon, raw to the dry ingredients.
