Thank you to customers who have alerted us to this latest scam operating on social media and via cold calling.  

Once the customer clicks on the logo a pop up informs them that they have won a cash prize (R9 to 10 000.00). In order to claim the prize, personal details must be provided, including bank details and other sensitive information. 

This is NOT a legitimate SPAR competition.

How to Check if an Offer/Competition is Fake

 

• Did you see references to this specific competition or offer in store or on the official SPAR website or Facebook page? If you don't find it on any of the regular SPAR communication channels, it is a scam.
• Do you need to supply your banking details or pay any money?  Don’t do it! SPAR will never ask for money or banking details.  The official SPAR 2U app or in-store is the only way to purchase anything from SPAR. Anything else is a scam.
