Truffle Tower Recipe

Your Auld Lang Syne party fun can be made complete with an impressive centrepiece serving as finger dessert meaning less crockery or cutlery to wash!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cans SPAR condensed milk
  • 100 ml cocoa
  • 160 g SPAR butter, melted
  • 25 ml brandy
  • 5 ml vanilla essence
  • 200 ml fine dessicated coconut
  • 2 packets SPAR coconut biscuits, crumbed
  • 2 packets SPAR cream crackers, crumbed
  • Coating ingredients of choice such as: Chocolate vermicelli, sprinkle
  • nuts, fine coconut, biscuit crumbs or sieved cocoa powder

Recipe Method

  1. In a 3 litre SPAR Good Living porcelain mixing bowl, blend together all the measured ingredients to a paste.
  2. Roll large marble-size balls and set aside.
  3. Set out your choice of coating ingredients on individual saucers, and proceed to roll and coat the balls.
  4. Refrigerate the truffles until required.

Hints & Tips

Spike each truffle with a toothpick and arrange them into and around an upturned ice cream cone. Finish the top with a truffle or an appropriate SPAR Merry Moments Christmas tree decoration.

Try different uniced biscuit flavours such as Ginger biscuits and Nuttikrusts for flavour changes.
