SA Style Egg Nog

An excellent way to welcome friends and family over the Festive Season! Based on the traditional hot version, but with a few twists, making it uniquely suited to a summery South African Christmas.

Yield: 1.25 litres

Ingredients

  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding
  • 500 ml SPAR full-cream milk
  • 350 ml SPAR full-cream milk (in addition to the 500ml)
  • 150 ml SPAR fresh or long-life cream
  • 200 ml Amarula Cream liqueur
  • 1 ml ground nutmeg

Method

  1. Beat together the instant vanilla pudding and 500ml of the milk.
  2. Chill for 5 minutes before adding 350 ml milk, the cream and Amarula.
  3. Chill thoroughly and serve with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg

Hints & Tips

Serve small shooter or sherry glass portions.
