Christmas Mince Pie Garland Recipe

Create a garland presentation with warmed fruit mince- pies enhanced with a delicious cold spoon-on topping. Enjoy as a quick option to traditional steamed pudding on Christmas Day, or as a novel way to serve tea-time treats over the festive period.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 x 6-packs SPAR Freshline fruit mince pies

Fruit Brandy Topping

  • 1 tub SPAR mascarpone cheese (250g)
  • 400g SPAR icing sugar, sieved
  • 25ml brandy
  •  finely grated rind of a large orange
  • 30ml of the juice of the orange
  • 15ml bottled redcurrant jelly

Recipe Method

Blend the ingredients together evenly. Cover and store in the fridge until required.

Hints & Tips

  • Keen to try an alternative topping?: Heat 125ml SPAR fresh cream to almost boiling point, then break up 100g white chocolate into it, stirring in until evenly melted. Pour into a jug and pop in the fridge to cool and thicken up slightly. 
  • Use fresh lemon or bay leaf sprigs, various SPAR Good Living Christmas tree decorations and gift bows, to create your garland effect.
