Chorizo and Calamari Fry Up Recipe

A popular Tapas dish, the chorizo helps to bring a smoky, rich flavour to the delicate calamari

Recipe Ingredients

  • 400g SPAR frozen calamari rings
  • 3 Tbsp (45ml) SPAR olive oil
  • 1 link chorizo, sliced
  • 1–2 handfuls SPAR Freshline cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cloves SPAR Freshline garlic, peeled and finely sliced
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) SPAR balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) chopped SPAR Freshline parsley for serving
  • Toasted SPAR Freshline Ciabatta for serving

Recipe Method

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan and fry the chorizo for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the calamari, tomatoes and garlic and cook for another 3–4 minutes or until the calamari is cooked.
  3. Season, adding the vinegar and parsley right before serving.
  4. Serve on a platter, scattered with extra fresh parsley with toasted bread.
