Chicken & Sweetcorn Kebabs Recipe

Chunky and delicious chicken breast and tasty sweetcorn makes a great mid-week meal or braai option. Using skinless chicken breast is a healthy alternative to more fatty meats.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 450g  boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into thick cubes
  • Freshline sweetcorn bites 850g
  • 12 cubes of canned pineapple
  • 1 Freshline single red pepper cut into 12 chunks


  • 1/4 Cup olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons juice from canned pineapple
  • 1 Garlic clove minced
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Method

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk oil, juice, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Add chicken and vegetables and toss to coat. Marinate mixture in the fridge overnight. Drain chicken and vegetables, reserving marinade.
  2. Alternate the ingredients on each of six skewers.
  3. Grill in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or braai on a medium hot grill.

Hints & Tips

  • Boil the bites to make it easy to put the skewers through the sweetcorn.
  • Place the tray low as to avoid the sweetcorn drying out.
