Recipe for Butterfly Snacks

Spring is in the air! Why not celebrate by making these butterfly snack packs which are perfect treats for an outdoor activity or party.

Ingredients(Make as many as needed)

  • SPAR Good Living clothes pegs plastic 12 piece
  • SPAR zipper bags small
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue
  • Colourful pipe cleaners

Suggested fillings

  • SPAR popcorn

  • SPAR Squillos mini marshmallows
  • SPAR Squillos cheese flavoured naks
  • SPAR Freshline grapes
  • SPAR Freshline strawberries
  • SPAR Freshline carrots, cut into strips

Method

  1. For each bag: glue two small googly eyes near the gripping end of the clothes peg and let the glue dry.
  2. Fill the first SPAR zipper bag until it's half full. Pinch the middle of the bag with your fingers and twist. Seal it with the clothes peg.  Add the second snack and zip the locking edge shut.
  3. Next, curl the tips of a colourful pipe cleaner and then bend the entire piece in half. Clip the pipe cleaner into the bag with the clothes peg.
