Festive Flair Mince Pies Recipe

Take some SPAR Bakery Mince Pies and create four different and delicious variants.

Recipe Ingredients

Hertzoggie Mince Pies

  • 3 Tbsp (45ml) SPAR Jam of your choice
  • 1 packet SPAR Bakery Mince Pies 6’s
  • 1 SPAR Egg White
  • 1/3rd  cup (80ml) SPAR Castor Sugar
  • 2/3rd cup (160ml) desiccated coconut

Streusel Mince Pies

  • 80g SPAR Cake Flour
  • 50g SPAR Brown Sugar
  • 30g SPAR White Sugar
  • 60g SPAR Butter, melted
  • 30g of flaked almonds
  • 1 packet SPAR Bakery Mince Pies 6’s

Meringue Mince Pies

  • 2 SPAR Egg Whites
  • ½ cup (125ml) SPAR Castor Sugar
  • 1 packet SPAR Bakery Mince Pies 6’s

White Chocolate Mince Pies

  • 40g white chocolate, melted
  • 1 packet SPAR Bakery Mince Pies 6’s
  • 30g flaked almonds, toasted

Recipe Method

Hertzoggie Mince Pies

  1. Dollop a little jam on top of each mince pie.
  2. Beat the egg white for 4 – 5 minutes.
  3. Slowly add the castor sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Stir through the coconut and spoon on top of the jam.
  5. Bake for 5 mins at 180ºC


Streusel Mince Pies

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and heap onto the mince pies.
  2. Bake for 5 mins at 180ºC.

Meringue Mince Pies

  1. Beat the egg whites for 4 – 5 minutes.
  2. Slowly add the castor sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Spoon on top of the mince pies and brown with a blow torch

White Chocolate Mince Pies

  1. Drizzle the white chocolate over the mince pies and scatter with the toasted almonds.
