Creamy Sweetcorn Samp Recipe

Serve as a side with your meat of choice and some thick cut pap chips for a braai to remember.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cups (370g) SPAR Samp
  • 1 can of SPAR Sweetcorn
  • 1 cup of SPAR Cream
  • 1 cup of SPAR Cheddar Cheese, grated

Recipe Method

  1. Rinse the samp under cold water and drain.
  2. Place in a bowl, add enough water to cover and soak overnight.
  3. Drain and add to a pot with 4 cups of salted water.
  4. Simmer over a medium heat for 50 to 60 minutes.
  5. Mix through the sweetcorn and cream and top with the cheese.
  6. Place in a skillet and grill until the cheese has melted.
