Creamy Garlic Potatoes Recipe
Baby potatoes smothered with a rich cream and garlic sauce.
Recipe Ingredients
- 1kg SPAR Freshline baby potatoes
- 2 tablespoons SPAR olive oil
- 1 large SPAR Freshline onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove SPAR Freshline garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon SPAR Cake Wheat flour
- 2 cups SPAR cream
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1/8 cup SPAR Freshline coriander, finely chopped
- 1/8 cup SPAR Freshline parsley, finely chopped
Recipe Method
- In a large pot, boil salted water.
- Bring to a gentle boil then reduce to medium heat.
- Add the potatoes and cook until soft.
- Drain water and set the potatoes aside.
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil on a medium heat.
- Add the onion and cook for +- 5 minutes until translucent.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the onion and garlic and stir until combined.
- Pour in cream, stir continuously, and bring to a gentle boil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the potatoes to the creamy sauce in the pan and combine well.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and parsley.
