Maize Dumplings and Biltong Soup Recipe
Take a couple of sachets of SPAR Freshline ready to heat Biltong soup and turn it into a filling meal for four with the addition of fresh maize and maas dumplings.
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 x 500g SPAR Freshline Biltong Soup
Dumplings
- ½ cups (75g) SPAR self raising flour
- 2 Tbsp (30ml) SPAR super maize meal
- Big pinch SPAR salt
- 1 tsp (5ml) SPAR butter
- 1/4 cup (60ml) SPAR maas
- 15g SPAR feta, crumbled
- 2 tsp chopped SPAR Freshline parsley
Recipe Method
- Mix the dry ingredients together.
- Rub in the butter.
- Add the maas, feta and herbs.
- Knead to form a dough.
- Roll into 12 balls.
- Drop the dumplings into the soup, cover, and steam for 10 – 15 minutes.
