Banana Cream Pie Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 big SPAR freshline Swiss rolls
  • SPAR milk, for drizzling
  • 6 – 8 SPAR freshline bananas
  • 1 litre SPAR vanilla-flavoured custard
  • 500 ml ( 2 cups) SPAR fresh cream
  • 2 chocolate flakes

Recipe Method

  1. Slice the Swiss rolls as you would a loaf of bread and pack the slices tightly next to each other in a large, shallow dish.
  2. Pour the milk over the Swiss roll slices to moisten them.
  3. Cut the bananas lengthwise into slices and place over the Swiss roll slices.
  4. Pour over the entire litre of custard over the bananas.
  5. Beat the cream until it starts to thicken and pour over the custard.
  6. Sprinkle the flakes on top of the cream and leave in the fridge for about half an hour before serving.
