Bacon and Cheese Wors Traybake for dinner and breakfast Recipe
Batch bake Bacon and Cheese Wors Traybake for a quick and simple meal.
Add chakalaka, pile on toasted bagels topped with fried eggs for a yummy start to the day
Recipe Ingredients
BACON AND CHEESE WORS TRAYBAKE
- 2 kg packets SPAR freshline baby potatoes, halved
- 3 SPAR freshline onions, cut into wedges
- 3 Tbsp (45ml) SPAR olive oil
- 2 packs SPAR Tender & Tasty Bacon and Cheese Wors
- 2 x 410g tins SPAR Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tbsp (30ml) SPAR freshline parsley, chopped
COWBOY BREAKFAST
- 1 x 410g tin SPAR Chakalaka, mild
- ½ cup (125ml) SPAR cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 batch SPAR Tender & Tasty Bacon and Cheese Wors Traybake
- 2 Tbsp (30ml) SPAR freshline parsley, chopped
- 4 SPAR Bakery Bagels Plain, toasted
- 4 SPAR eggs, fried
Recipe Method
BACON AND CHEESE WORS TRAYBAKE
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Toss the potatoes and onions in the olive oil and season to taste.
- Divide between 2 large baking dishes and roast in the oven for 25 minutes.
- Toss through the baked beans and pop the sausages on top.
- Roast for another 10-15 minutes at 200°C
- Refrigerate one traybake for later use.
- Scatter fresh chopped parsley over the remaining traybake and serve immediately.
COWBOY BREAKFAST
- Add the tin of chakalaka and grated cheese to the sausage traybake and heat through.
- Scatter freshly chopped parsley, dollop on to toasted buttered bagels and top with a crispy fried egg.
