Recipe Ingredients

BACON AND CHEESE WORS TRAYBAKE

  •  2 kg packets SPAR freshline baby potatoes, halved
  • 3 SPAR freshline onions, cut into wedges
  • 3 Tbsp (45ml) SPAR olive oil
  • 2 packs SPAR Tender & Tasty Bacon and Cheese Wors
  • 2 x 410g tins SPAR Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) SPAR freshline parsley, chopped

COWBOY BREAKFAST 

  • 1 x 410g tin SPAR Chakalaka, mild
  • ½ cup (125ml) SPAR cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 batch SPAR Tender & Tasty Bacon and Cheese Wors Traybake
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) SPAR freshline parsley, chopped
  • 4 SPAR Bakery Bagels Plain, toasted
  • 4 SPAR eggs, fried

Recipe Method

BACON AND CHEESE WORS TRAYBAKE

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Toss the potatoes and onions in the olive oil and season to taste.
  3. Divide between 2 large baking dishes and roast in the oven for 25 minutes.
  4. Toss through the baked beans and pop the sausages on top.
  5. Roast for another 10-15 minutes at 200°C
  6. Refrigerate one traybake for later use.
  7. Scatter fresh chopped parsley over the remaining traybake and serve immediately.

COWBOY BREAKFAST 
  1. Add the tin of chakalaka and grated cheese to the sausage traybake and heat through.
  2. Scatter freshly chopped parsley, dollop on to toasted buttered bagels and top with a crispy fried egg.
