Employing and empowering more than 325 individuals, 315 of which are permanent staff, FAIRFIELD welcomes people from all walks of life, in and around the Howick, Hilton and Pietermaritzburg region. As part of their commitment to caring for their people, FAIRFIELD has initiated a housing programme whereby employees from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, that have been with the company for 15 years or more, would be gifted the necessary funds and assistance to build a house for their families in the surrounding community. Since 2014, more than 35 staff members of the FAIRFIELD DAIRY and Farm have benefitted from this incredible initiative. There are 10 more initiatives just like it, aimed at improving the lives of everyone on their team.
