All persons entering the SPAR promotion ("the promotion") ("the entrants") agree that the promotion
rules as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on them. A copy of these terms and conditions
is available at www.spar.co.za.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
These terms and conditions and Promotion rules contain certain terms and conditions which appear in
similar text style to this clause and which:
• may limit the risk or liability of the Promoter (The SPAR Group Ltd) or a third party; and/or
• may create risk or liability for the Participant; and/or
• may compel the participant to indemnify the Promoter or a third party; and/or
• serves as an acknowledgement, by the Participant, of a fact.

The Participants attention is drawn to these terms and conditions because they are important and
should be carefully noted.
Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit
or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the entrant or the Promoter in
terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("the CPA").
The Participant acknowledges that by submitting his or her entry to the Promotion he/she has been
given an appropriate opportunity to first read these terms and conditions before entering and he/she
understands and agrees to the terms and conditions.
All Participants to this Promotion participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these
terms and conditions, the Participant gives consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds
harmless the promoter, The SPAR Group Ltd; their directors, employees and agents of any and all
liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of
their participation in the Promotion and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost,
injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or willful misconduct of any
indemnified party.

RULES OF THE PROMOTION
The Promotion mechanic is as per below:
• Entry is open to all SPAR Customers within South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Eswatini who
purchase any 2L SPAR Carbonated Soft Drink during the Promotional Period.
• Participants are required to enter via the dedicated WhatsApp line on +27872405208 in RSA,
Namibia & Eswatini and on +26776373734 (standard data rates apply for WhatsApp entry).
• Participants are required to take a clear picture of their full till slip and send the image and their
name, surname, store purchased, either the last 4 (four), 5 (five) or 6 (six) digits of the qualifying
product barcode and the country in which they are located via the WhatsApp line to be entered
into the draw to win airtime.
• Valid entries will go into an automated draw and Participants will be advised via WhatsApp
whether they are a winner or not.
• Winning Participants will receive an SMS with their reward redemption details.
This Promotion is limited to 1 (one) till slip entry per purchase of the SPAR 2L Carbonated Soft Drink and
any dispute in this regard will be adjudicated on by the Promoter whose decision shall be final.

PROMOTION DATES
The Promotion will run from 21 March 2023 [00h01] until 23 April 2023 [23h59] (“the Promotion
Period”), and the purchase of the Participating Products must have taken place within the relevant
Promotional Period.
The Participant’s entry must be received by 30 April 2023 [23h59] in order to be eligible for the
Promotion.

PARTICIPATING PRODUCTS
Participants must purchase any of the below Participating Products during the relevant Promotional
Period to be eligible to enter the Promotion:

ENTRY LIMITATIONS:
• This Promotion is limited to 1 (one) till slip entry per purchase of the SPAR 2L Carbonated Soft
Drink and any dispute in this regard will be adjudicated on by the Promoter whose decision shall
be final.
• Participants are limited to 5 (five) entries per day into the Promotion.
• Participants are limited to 20 (twenty) entries over Promotion Period.

REDEMPTION OF THE REWARD
Winning Participants will receive an SMS with a unique code and link to a reward redemption website
(“Website”); where the winning Participant is to enter their unique pin code received within the SMS.
The website is the only place where winning Participants can redeem their reward. Winning Participants
will be able to redeem the reward within 30 (thirty) calendar days of issuing of the unique pin code via
SMS. If winning Participants fail to redeem their reward within the required validity period, they will
forfeit their reward.
The winning Participants will be able to select their preferred network carrier to the value of their preallocated
reward denomination.
Once selected, the airtime will be automatically loaded to the winning Participants provided mobile
number within 24 (twenty-four) hours.

INSTANT AIRTIME REWARDS:
South Africa:
Participants who purchase their Participating Product and enter the Promotion during the Promotional
Period, within the Republic of South Africa will stand a chance of winning their share of R675 000 (six
hundred and seventy-five thousand rand) in instant airtime.
Winners will be randomly selected and awarded either of the following airtime denominations:
• R5 (five) Airtime
• R10 (ten) Airtime
• R15 (fifteen) Airtime
Airtime voucher reward terms:
1. Cell C
1.1. The airtime voucher entitles the winner to an airtime voucher or network provider equivalent that
can be used on a Cell C prepaid cell phone number to the maximum value of R5 (Five Rand); R10 (ten
Rand) or R15 (Fifteen Rand) with the following conditions:
1.1.1. The airtime voucher can be used on any prepaid Cell C mobile number. Cell C contracts
and any other networks are excluded.
1.1.2. Airtime is active as it is loaded directly to prepaid MSISDN until it is depleted.
2. MTN
2.1 The airtime voucher entitles the winner to an airtime voucher or network provider equivalent that
can be used on a MTN prepaid cell phone number to the maximum value of R5 (Five Rand); R10 (ten
Rand) or R15 (Fifteen Rand) with the following conditions:
2.1.1 The airtime voucher can be used on any prepaid MTN mobile number. MTN contracts and
any other networks are excluded.
2.1.2 Airtime is active as it is loaded directly to prepaid MSISDN until it is depleted.
3. Telkom Mobile:
3.1 The airtime voucher entitles the winner to an airtime voucher or network provider equivalent that
can be used on a Telkom prepaid cell phone number to the maximum value of R5 (Five Rand); R10 (ten
Rand) or R15 (Fifteen Rand) with the following conditions:
3.1.1 The airtime voucher can be used on any prepaid Telkom mobile number. Telkom mobile
contracts and any other networks are excluded.
3.1.2 Airtime is active as it is loaded directly to prepaid MSISDN until it is depleted.
4 Vodacom:
4.1 The airtime voucher entitles the winner to an airtime voucher or network provider equivalent that
can be used on a Vodacom prepaid cell phone number to the maximum value of R5 (Five Rand); R10
(ten Rand) or R15 (Fifteen Rand) with the following conditions:
4.1.1 The airtime voucher can be used on any prepaid Telkom mobile number. Vodacom
contracts and any other networks are excluded.
4.1.2 Airtime is active as it is loaded directly to prepaid MSISDN until it is depleted.
Botswana:
Participants who purchase their Participating Product and enter the Promotion during the Promotional
Period, within the Republic of Botswana will stand a chance of winning their share of P34 000 (thirtyfour
thousand pula) in instant airtime.
Winners will be randomly selected and awarded the following airtime denominations:
• Winners will be awarded between P40 – P50 airtime depending on preferred network provider
and current exchange rate.
Namibia:
Participants who purchase their Participating Product and enter the Promotion during the Promotional
Period, within the Republic of Namibia will stand a chance of winning their share of N$ 20 (twenty
thousand Namibian dollar) 000 in instant airtime.
Winners will be randomly selected and awarded either of the following airtime denominations:
• N$5 (five) Airtime
• N$10 (ten) Airtime
• N$15 (fifteen) Airtime
Airtime amount is dependent on preferred network provider and current exchange rate.
Eswatini: Participants who purchase their Participating Product and enter the Promotion during the
Promotional Period, within the Kingdom of Eswatini will stand a chance of winning their share of E 10
000 (ten thousand lilangeni) in instant airtime.
Winners will be randomly selected and awarded either of the following airtime denominations:
• E5 (five) Airtime

By entering the promotion in accordance with its terms, you are entering a promotion for the purposes
of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (“CPA”) and the promotion will be conducted in accordance with
the relevant provisions of the CPA.
