Breakfast Granola Crunch
Breakfasts can be tricky. This simple granola, served with natural yoghurt and fresh berries, makes a quick and easy ‘on-the-go’ breakfast.
Breakfast Granola Crunch
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes  Cooking Time: 20 minutes
  • Serves: Makes 340g (approximately 11 x 30g servings)

Ingredients

Ingredients for Granola
  • 200g Coconut Flakes
  • 50g SPAR Almonds
  • 30g SPAR Pecan Nuts
  • 60g SPAR Sunflower Seeds
  • 60g SPAR Pumpkin Seeds
  • 10ml Ground Cinnamon
  • 30ml Coconut Oil, Melted
 
Ingredients for your ‘on-the-go’ breakfast
  • SPAR Double Cream Plain Greek Yoghurt to serve
  • SPAR Freshline Berries such as Blueberries, Strawberries or Gooseberries. If these aren’t available use sliced apple and/or pear

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Place the mixture in a large roasting dish or baking tray to make sure the ingredients roast evenly.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, shaking the tray every 5 minutes to ensure the granola doesn’t burn.
  5. Cool and store in an airtight container.
  6. Serve with yoghurt and fruit.
  • You can get creative with this recipe by experimenting with other seeds such as linseeds, sesame or poppy seeds. You can also add goji berries, chopped cranberries or raisins.
