Chilli-Chocolate Decadence

An interesting take on chocolate ganache, to serve as a rich chocolatey treat which is quick but a strikingly different dessert for entertaining.
Ingredients
(Serves: 4)
5 ml
SPAR
honey
½ tub
SPAR
Crème Fraiche
1 pack
SPAR Freshline
meringue nests
1 punnet
SPAR Freshline
strawberries, hulled
Method
Break the chocolate into its 10 squares and melt them in a bowl in the microwave, at 60 % Power for 2 ½ minutes. Stir in the honey, and set aside for 5 minutes to just cool off slightly but remain liquid.
Stir the Crème Fraiche into the chocolate.
Place a few strawberry slices into each meringue nest, top generously with the chocolate ganache, and serve a few more strawberries around on the plate.
Hints and Tips
Rinse and pat-dry the strawberries with kitchen paper towel before slicing.
If you prepare and refrigerate the chilli-chocolate ganache in advance, remember to bring it to room temperature in good time beforehand, to make it easier to spoon out when filling the meringues. It firms up considerably on chilling.
